Analyzing back office activity

Audrey M. Updated by Audrey M.

Users must have the "Browse analytics" permission to consult the Analytics dashboards.

The Back office dashboard enables the workspace administrator to monitor their workspace's configuration activity.

To see it, go to Analytics > Back office.

Filtering by date

By default, the filter is set to a two-week period, but you can specify the time period you wish to analyze.

Key indicators

Two key performance indicators are available:

  • Actions: This chart shows the total number of actions executed in your workspace's back office, grouped by object type (datasets, workspaces, and pages).
Remember that, like with every chart on Opendatasoft, you can filter the variables displayed by clicking on the legend labels.
  • Users activity: When is the activity on your back office busiest? This chart shows the total number of logged-in user actions, grouped by the days of the week. This helps identify the days when your users are most active on the back office.

Interacting with data

  • Modified datasets, pages or workspaces: You can find the most updated objects in this table, which offers a more comprehensive view compared to the Actions chart.
Click on the Show more button to access the complete list, with filtering and search options. If you click on the title of an object, you can view a detailed list of actions performed on it by the user.
  • Active Users: This table displays a list of users who have performed the most actions in your back office.
By clicking on Show more, you can access the complete list, with filtering and search options. By clicking on a user's identifier, you can view the list of actions performed on the various modified objects.
